Primary Responsibilities

The HVAC Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance and routine service on residential cooling and heating systems while delivering exceptional customer service and representing Green Valley Cooling & Heating with professionalism.

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform seasonal preventative maintenance on residential HVAC systems.
  • Complete service records accurately and thoroughly.
  • Inspect equipment and identify repair opportunities, communicating recommendations clearly with customers.
  • Perform filter changes, equipment cleaning, coil cleaning, and other routine maintenance services.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting while continuing to develop technical diagnostic skills.
  • Assist Service Technicians with repairs and installations as needed.
  • Safely operate testing equipment, power tools, and company vehicles.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work environment and company vehicle.
  • Provide outstanding customer service while living our Core Values.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of residential HVAC maintenance experience required.
  • HVAC trade school education preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to read and follow manufacturer instructions.
  • EPA 608 Certification is not required upon hire but must be obtained within 60 days of employment.
  • NATE Ready-to-Work Certification preferred.
  • OSHA 10 Certification preferred.
  • Valid Arizona driver's license with an insurable driving record.
  • Ability to safely operate power and hand tools.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
  • A commitment to continuing education and a desire to continually expand your HVAC knowledge and technical skills.
  • Team-player mindset.
  • Background check and clean drug screening required.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including Arizona heat.
  • Ability to climb ladders and access attics, rooftops, crawlspaces, and confined spaces.
  • Ability to safely operate company vehicles and HVAC equipment.

Schedule

Full-Time

8-hour or 10-hour shift options available.
