POSITION SUMMARY
The Ilanka Community Health Center Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary clinical environment in accordance with healthcare standards. This position performs routine cleaning and disinfection of patient care areas, restrooms, and common spaces to support infection prevention and patient safety.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
· Cleans and disinfects patient care areas, exam rooms, treatment rooms, restrooms, offices, and common areas according to established protocols.
· Follows infection prevention and control procedures, including proper use of disinfectants and personal protective equipment (PPE).
· Removes trash, medical waste, and recycling in compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
· Cleans and maintains floors, surfaces, fixtures, and furnishings.
· Restocks cleaning and sanitation supplies as needed.
· Reports maintenance issues, or supply shortages to appropriate staff.
· Strong understanding of HIPAA, and confidentiality standards to ensure lawful handling of Protected Health Information (PHI).
· Performs routine and deep‑cleaning tasks according to schedules and clinic needs.
·Cleaning of clinic housing as needed.
·Participate in infection control training.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF ALL STAFF
·Follows all NVE policies and related department procedures.
·Works safely in accordance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
·Immediately reports unsafe conditions, hazards, or injuries to HR or the designated safety contact.
·Attend all mandatory special events, meetings, and trainings.
·Assists with special events, meetings, and trainings as necessary.
·Maintains confidentiality at all times.
·Maintains awareness and sensitivity to various cultures.
·Embodies Tribal values throughout all work.
·Performs other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL SUPERVISORY DUTIES
