Implementation Lead (Business Systems)

What’s the opportunity?

Frequency is a construction project management consultancy. We partner on complex projects across the built environment and value relationships, integrity, and delivering real value for our clients. We’re implementing a new core business system and are looking for an experienced Implementation Lead to help take the project through to completion.

The discovery and requirements phase has been completed, and we’re close to selecting our preferred software solution and vendor. The next stage is all about implementation: planning, configuration, data migration, testing, training, go-live and adoption. This is a contract role for approximately six months, based in our Eden Terrace office.

What you’ll do

• Lead the implementation of Frequency's new business system from vendor selection through to go-live and stabilisation
• Lead the implementation of Frequency's new business system from vendor selection through to go-live and stabilisation
• Develop and maintain the project plan, coordinating activities across Frequency and the implementation partner
• Manage vendor relationships, ensuring agreed deliverables, timelines and outcomes are achieved
• Oversee system configuration and implementation activities to ensure the solution meets Frequency's business requirements
• Lead data migration planning, cleansing, validation, testing and reconciliation activities
• Coordinate system testing, integration testing and user acceptance testing (UAT)
• Manage defects, issues and implementation risks through to resolution
• Provide clear project reporting, including weekly updates and monthly status reports
• Support training development and delivery for users, administrators and key stakeholders
• Develop implementation documentation, operating procedures and support materials
• Lead go-live planning and deployment activities
• Support change management and business readiness activities to drive successful adoption
• Coordinate post-implementation support and knowledge transfer to internal teams
• Embed good health, safety, wellbeing and sustainability practices in how we deliver change

What you’ll bring

• Experience leading software or business system implementation projects from planning through to go-live
• Strong project management and delivery capability
• Experience managing software vendors and implementation partners
• Experience overseeing data migration, testing and system deployment activities
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams
• Experience managing project risks, issues, priorities and competing deadlines
• Excellent communication, facilitation and reporting skills
• A practical, hands-on approach with a focus on delivering outcomes
• Experience in professional services or consulting environments would be advantageous
• Current NZ work rights

The contract at a glance

• Term: Approximately 6 months
• Location: Eden Terrace, Auckland
• Engagement: Contract
• Start: As soon as possible
• Working arrangement: Full-time, with on-site presence required
