Laundry Specialist/Dry Cleaner

Amentum is seeking a Laundry Specialist/Dry Cleaner​ to join our team on Andros Island, Bahamas to support the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) mission. Must be a citizen of the Bahamas. This position is reserved for Bahamian Citizens only.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Keeping inventory of laundry materials, supplies and machines

• Must be able to report and track damage, broken and malfunctions within the laundry area.

• Must be able to stand for long period of time.

• Receive, sort, wash, dry, dry-clean, dye, press, and prepare for delivery of clothes and linens.

• Must be able to remove stain from items as need be using appropriate method.

• Must be organized.

• Must be able to keep track of all items coming in and going out of laundry area.

• Use tools or machines and other devices to fit, cut, sew, rivet, assemble, and attach findings to articles such as belts, shirts, bags, pants, and hats.

• Must be familiar with cleaning products like bleach, laundry detergent, softener, etc.

• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be a citizen of the Bahamas. This position is reserved for Bahamian Citizens only.

• 2 years of job-related experience required.

• Must have ability to read, interpret and apply instructions, publications, and safety rules.
