Lead Teacher - Infant Program | Bridgeland Campus

OVERVIEW:

Do you love working with infants and know how much the smallest interactions matter in their earliest years?

Fueling Brains Academies is looking for an experienced Infant Lead Educator to lead a classroom of children aged 12–19 months. We’re looking for someone who understands infant development, thrives in a nurturing and responsive environment, and is confident taking ownership of the classroom.

THE ROLE:

As the Infant Lead Educator, you’ll lead the day-to-day learning and care within your infant classroom. You’ll create a calm, safe and engaging environment where each child’s individual routines, developmental stage and needs guide how you teach and care.

YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

• Lead the infant classroom and guide Assistant Educators in delivering consistent, high-quality care.
• Plan age-appropriate experiences focused on sensory exploration, language, music, movement and play.
• Provide responsive, relationship-based care and build secure, trusting connections with each child.
• Confidently manage infant routines including feeding, bottles, diapering, sleep and transitions.
• Observe developmental milestones and adapt experiences to each child’s individual pace and needs.
• Build strong relationships with families and communicate regularly about routines, development and progress.
• Maintain a safe, organized classroom and meet Alberta Child Care Licensing and safe sleep requirements.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• Alberta ECE Level 2 or Level 3 certification - Level 3 preferred.
• Hands-on experience working specifically with infants.
• Experience leading a classroom or readiness to take ownership of an infant classroom.
• Strong understanding of infant development, routines and responsive caregiving.
• Confidence guiding and working collaboratively with Assistant Educators.
• Warm, patient and attentive approach with both children and families.
