JOB DESCRIPTION
You will act as the face of JAM and be a key ‘on the ground’ resource for leagues and programs. Overall, your goals will be to:
- Ensure that existing members receive an exceptional experience
- Ensure that leagues run smoothly
- Facilitate operational tasks assigned by our head office team
Specifically, areas that you will be responsible for include:
- The majority of your time will be spent in the evenings and some weekends executing leagues
- Retention of current members with exceptional customer service
- Sales of leagues/programs to individuals and captains, finding ways to fill empty space
- Developing improvements for current league play.
- Maintaining excellent relationships with current venues, and seeking new venues to enable growth
- Assisting with the activation of regional promotions
- Management of equipment and the equipment storage unit
- Assisting and training league ambassadors carry out nightly duties
- Assistance with seasonal planning
- Helping with discipline issues that may arise during game play
- Contributing to building our online community through interactions and contributions to our social media platforms
- Attending league games onsite to ensure everything is running smoothly
- Taking photos or videos of league play for social media promotion
- Meeting with hired or prospective part-time staff
- Administrative tasks can be done at home, with the support of the shared services team
- Exploring new venues and facilities and collecting details about current venues

- Must have incredible attention to detail, be a quick learner and an eye for creating and improving systems.
- You have a logical brain, with strong pattern recognition skills. (You are probably better than average at puzzles and sudoku)

- Be confident and motivated to positively interact with members, head office staff, and facility staff (face-to-face, emails, phone calls)
- Hardworking attitude. You are known for taking initiative.

- We are looking for someone who has past experience with planning events on every level. Someone who is able to clearly represent JAM to prospective businesses, while adopting our fun yet professional attitude.
Well Spoken & Written
- It goes without saying, but we’ll say it anyway. You’ll need to have strong self-monitoring skills, strong public speaking skills and be able to clearly articulate.
- Knowledge of a wide variety of sports rules and formats is an asset!

- Confidence in your ability to take control of a situation with a flair for being resourceful.
- Strengths in planning, decision making, and creative problem solving.
- You are a problem solver and enjoy coming up with creative solutions when needed.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a valid G driver’s license
- Must have access to your own vehicle, the expectation will be that we will require you to use your own vehicle to transport supplies and equipment
WORKING LOCATION
- Training will take place at the JAM head office in Toronto or remotely depending on your location (to be discussed during the hiring process)
- Additional training may take place remotely through online portals
- Once trained, the majority of your time will likely be spent on the go in the afternoons and evenings (most prominently Monday - Thursday), some Saturdays and Sundays will be required
EXPECTED HOURS
- Approximately 15-30 hours per week in the field
- This includes weeknight work and some weekends as the majority of our programs take place at that time.
COMPENSATION
- $15 per hour
- Complimentary league play
