While our core business remains supporting the commercial fishing industry, we have expanded our offerings to include industrial and sport netting, hydraulic sales and services, wholesale and industrial supply, recreational marine and outdoor products, as well as online sales.

Responsibilities

Summary:

LFS is seeking a Production Supervisor to work alongside the Division Manager performing daily tasks and supervising the operations of the Cordova production staff.

Essential functions (responsibilities, tasks, supervisory needs)

• Reports to Cordova Division Manager
• Oversee net hangers and production in Cordova Division.
• Work with Division Manager to create and maintain a production schedule.
• Distribute workload.
• Add all hanging notes to sales orders for invoicing customers.
• Work with yard employees and canneries for pickup and delivery of nets.
• Record nets in and out of facility.
• Collaborate with customers on net orders.
• Inventory control and distribution of net materials; web, twine, corks, lead line, cork line, net bags, tape, and knives.
• Be knowledgeable about different net manufacturers, line products, and various components and be able to communicate that knowledge to customers and other net hangers.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications (education, years of experience, KSAs)

• 3-5 years supervising production line.

Preferred education and experience

• 5-10 as commercial net hanger

Work environment: Fast, loud, busy. Warehouse, production area, office.

Physical demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand and use a keyboard and telephone. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

The employee is required to talk or listen.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
