Lineman / Electrician / Cable Jointer

BMH Electricsexists to maintain, install and assess electrical assets and equipment for a wide range of customers including land developers, power utilities, mining, display technologies and advertising as well as the domestic market.

We are currently seekingqualifiedcandidates to fill a few roles; Lineman, Cable Jointer, Electrician. You must beWestern Power NAC ready and be willing to work across theMetal Pole Inspection Contract. Electrician’s, youmusthave completed thePublic Lighting Moduleto be considered.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Complies with all directions provided in Daily Work Packs
• Completes all facility electrical and related project works as directed by the site supervisor/project manager/operations manager/managing director
• Assumes complete responsibility and be accountable for installation of all service, equipment and materials utilised to complete work
• Reports all electrical incidents, hazards and near misses and reports back to the relevant supervisor an client representative.
• Inspect lines, poles and equipment for signs of damage or wear and reports deficiencies
• Locate underground electric cable faults for repair
• Wear’s required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

Essential Criteria (Mandatory)

• Public Lighting Module
• Trade qualification
• WA Electrical License
• Valid driver's licence minimum class C
• Construction (white) card
• Hardworking
• Strong problem solving, analytical, troubleshooting and organisational skills
• Knowledge of electrical and building codes
• Strong time management skills – ability to meet strict deadlines and targets

Desirable Criteria

• High Risk Card - WP, DG, LF
• First aid, CPR and LVR
• Working at Heights Training
• Good physical strength and hand-eye coordination
• Ability to work in a team and autonomously
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
