Tradesperson (Electrical) - Metro

BMH Electrics Pty Ltd exists to maintain, install and assess electrical assets and equipment for a wide range of customers including power utilities, mining, digital display technologies, defence and construction.

Electricians are responsible for inspecting, testing, repairing, installing, and modifying electrical components and systems.

Electricians for our current position need to work in the metropolitan area on major projects for defence, construction, asset management and digital signage sites, and you generally work as an employee. There are also future mining and supervisory opportunities available for the right person.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Complies with all directions provided in Daily Work Packs
  
• Completes all facility electrical and related project works as directed by the site supervisor/project manager/general manager/managing director
  
• Assumes complete responsibility and be accountable for installation of all service, equipment and materials utilised to complete work
  
• Inspects and tests components of electrical systems, including transformers, transfer switches and switch gears
  
• Survey's electrical systems, circuits and plans
  
• Reports all electrical incidents, hazards and near misses and reports back to the relevant Supervisor and Client Representative
  
• Ensures all electrical statutory testing and maintenance is carried out and recorded as required
  
• Wear's required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS/KPI's

Essential Criteria (Mandatory)

• Electrical Trade Qualification
• Current WA Electrician's License
• Valid drivers license minimum class C, HR advantageous
• Construction Card (White Card)
• Competent understanding of electrical schematics, isolation and permitting systems
• Demonstrated experience in all aspects of Electrical work
• Ability to read and interpret Electrical drawings, Schematics and Architectural drawings at a minimum
• Strong commitment to health and safety
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated experience in all aspects of Electrical work
  

Desirable Criteria

• High Risk Card - WP, DG, LF, CV
• Experience in computer based maintenance systems
• Previous fixed plant or asset management experience
• Air-conditioning/Refrigeration Split ticket Advantageous
• CPR/LVR
• Working at Heights Training
  
• Western Power Inducted
