An established agricultural equipment dealership is seeking a Location Lead who enjoys variety, takes ownership, and leads by helping customers and coworkers.
This is a hands-on role supporting the whole store, with a focus on parts and service. You’ll help at the parts counter, keep the service department organized and customers updated, and step into the office when needed. That keeps the store running so the sales team can stay in front of customers. You’ll report to Operations and work across departments as store needs change.
We welcome experienced team leads and dependable people ready to grow into more responsibility. You don’t need a management title to lead; you need honesty, initiative, follow-through, and a willingness to learn.
What You’ll Do
- Help customers and technicians identify, locate, and order parts.
- Coordinate service schedules, work orders, and customer updates.
- Receive, inspect, organize, and stock incoming parts and accessories.
- Assist with parts deliveries and pickups.
- Back up the office: phones, payments, and equipment deal paperwork.
- Take ownership of daily needs and help coworkers resolve problems.
- Keep work areas organized, safe, and ready for customers.
Who Would Thrive Here
- Someone who leads by doing and steps in wherever help is needed.
- An organized person who likes keeping a busy shop on schedule.
- A dependable, honest person who cares about customers and coworkers.
- Someone comfortable with changing priorities and busy planting and harvest seasons.
Experience and Qualifications
- Three or more years of work experience, including customer-facing responsibilities.
- Parts, service writing, or service coordination experience at an ag, auto, or equipment dealer preferred.
- Experience leading, training, or helping others succeed, formally or informally.
- Comfortable using computers and learning inventory and business systems.
- Familiarity with agricultural equipment and John Deere products is a plus.
- Forklift or material-handling experience is helpful.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 75 pounds.
Schedule and Growth
This position works across office, parts counter, warehouse, shop, and outdoor areas. Occasional early mornings, evenings, Saturdays, or extended hours may be needed.
The role offers broad dealership experience and a path toward future location leadership as skills and business needs align.
