We are looking for an experienced Senior Consultant,People& Culture to join our growing team. This role is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys variety, thrives in a consulting environment, and is passionate about helping organizations solve complex people challenges.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Partner, the Senior Consultant will serve as a trusted advisor to a portfolio of clients across a wide range of industries. You will provide both strategic and operational HR support through ongoing fractional HR engagements, project-based consulting, and compliance initiatives.

This is a hybrid consulting role requiring both virtual and on-site client support. The successful candidate must be comfortable travelling throughout the Greater Montreal area and surrounding regions to support client needs.

No two days are the same. You'll work directly with business owners and leadership teams to develop practical HR solutions that align with organizational goals while ensuring compliance with Quebec and Canadian employment legislation.

Key Responsibilities

Fractional HR Services

  • Act as the dedicated HR partner for SME clients, providing ongoing strategic and operational HR support.
  • Advise leaders on employee relations, performance management, talent development, organizational effectiveness, and workplace culture.
  • Coach managers through employee performance, conflict resolution, investigations, and difficult conversations.
  • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Build trusted relationships with clients while serving as an extension of their internal leadership teams.

HR Consulting Projects

Lead and support a variety of client projects, including:

  • Performance management program design and implementation
  • Compensation analysis and salary benchmarking
  • Job evaluation and job description development
  • Organizational design and workforce planning
  • HRIS selection, implementation, and optimization
  • Talent management and succession planning
  • Learning and leadership development initiatives
  • HR policy development and employee handbook creation
  • Change management and organizational transformation projects

HR Compliance & Employment Legislation

Provide guidance and expertise in areas including:

  • Quebec Pay Equity compliance
  • Bill 90 requirements and workforce training obligations
  • CNESST standards and employment legislation
  • Labour standards and workplace compliance
  • Employment documentation and policy reviews
  • Best practices related to legislative changes affecting Quebec employers

Client & Project Management

  • Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously while maintaining exceptional service delivery.
  • Lead projects from discovery through implementation and follow-up.
  • Identify client needs and proactively recommend HR solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal multidisciplinary teams across Crowe BGK when appropriate.
  • Contribute to business development by identifying opportunities to expand client relationships.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • CRHA designation (required)
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience in a generalist, business partner, or consulting role
  • Bilingual in French and English (spoken and written)
  • Strong knowledge of Quebec employment legislation and HR compliance
  • Experience leading HR projects from planning through execution
  • Experience supporting multiple stakeholders or clients in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation for travel to client sites throughout Montreal and surrounding areas
