What You'll Do:
As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll help keep our senior living community safe, comfortable, and well-maintained for residents, families, and team members. This hands-on role includes routine maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, apartment refreshes, and preventive upkeep throughout the community.
We are especially looking for someone with a strong painting background and solid wall-repair skills, as apartment refresh work is an important part of this position. You’ll patch and repair walls and ceilings, complete interior painting, and help ensure apartments are move-in ready. You’ll also assist with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, mechanical systems, and general building maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

Complete apartment refresh work, including patching and repairing walls and ceilings and completing interior painting.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs involving plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, mechanical systems, and general building upkeep.
Respond to maintenance requests and troubleshoot repair needs reported by residents and team members.
Conduct preventive maintenance and regular inspections of equipment, systems, and community buildings.
Ensure appliances, plumbing, and electrical systems are functioning properly during apartment turnover and refresh work.
Follow established maintenance schedules, safety procedures, and applicable regulations.
Maintain tools, equipment, supplies, and replacement materials needed for maintenance work.
Provide professional, courteous service to residents, families, and team members while communicating maintenance needs and updates.
Document completed maintenance, repairs, and inspections and report major concerns to the supervisor.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

Required Qualifications

Previous experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a senior living or residential community setting.
Strong knowledge of building systems and equipment (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.).
Proficiency in using maintenance tools and equipment.
Position requires a valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
Position requires the ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 35 pounds without assistance.

Preferred

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or vocational training in maintenance or a related field.
