For over 50 years we have provided solutions to quality, cost and production challenges for market-leading customers in the automotive, heavy duty and off-highway vehicles, tools and hardware, electronics and cutlery.

We have openings on first and second shift do to increased business.

Machine tooling components to support tool maintenance and automation requirements.

  • Set up and operate one or more of the following machines: Manual lathe and/or manual mill, grinder, drill press, etc.
  • Duties include machining complex geometries and threading.
  • Work from factory work orders, routings, drawings, process drawings & layout sheets, written or verbal instructions.
  • Apply technical application knowledge in tooling, blue print reading including GDT, and processes for a wide variety of materials.
  • Inspect work produced, including in process inspection, using micrometers, bore gauges, vernier calipers, or other measuring instruments maintaining very close tolerances.
  • Follow preventative maintenance procedures on equipment as prescribed by the supervisor and report operating difficulties of equipment.
  • Train and instruct other employees when requested.
  • Make proper labor and time reports.
  • Participate in continuous improvement teams as required

  • Ensure full implementation of all relevant procedures and instructions and ensure documentation and records are maintained adherent to ISO/TS 16949 Quality Systems

Qualifications

  • Requires knowledge equivalent to school education plus ability to read and interpret component prints or drawings
  • Make average to complicated arithmetic calculations and resolve elementary technical problems.
  • 2 year technical degree in machining or equivalent offsetting experience.
  • Able to run manual machines, lathe, mill, surface grinder, drill press, etc.

  • Knowledge of inch & metric systems of measurement.

  • Knowledge and experience using basic measuring tools (micrometer, caliper, toolmaker’s scope).
  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.
