About the Role:
We are seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to join our Maintenance team in a newly established manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring the safe, stable, and reliable operation of production equipment and utility systems through effective maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities. You will play a key role in equipment commissioning, ramp-up, preventive maintenance, and reliability improvement initiatives that support operational excellence and consistent product quality
Role Responsibilities:
Execute daily maintenance activities for production equipment and facility systems.
Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and coordinate maintenance work to minimize production downtime.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance (PM) standards and guidelines.
Monitor equipment condition and identify potential issues before failures occur.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve equipment reliability.
Lead and execute reliability, safety, and continuous improvement projects to enhance equipment performance.
Monitor maintenance performance using a data-driven approach and drive improvement initiatives.
Support installation, testing, commissioning, trial runs, and handover of new equipment.
Ensure maintenance readiness during equipment ramp-up and production start-up phases.
Coordinate maintenance activities for utility systems, including compressed air, cooling systems, and wastewater treatment (WWT).
Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
Collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, QA, and other stakeholders to support business objectives and operational efficiency
What you'll need:
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum 4 years of maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment.
Experience in process-driven industries such as plastics, polymers, foam manufacturing, or similar sectors is preferred.
Experience in equipment installation, commissioning, and manufacturing ramp-up activities is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including high-pressure systems, TCU (Temperature Control Unit), and HPU (Hydraulic Power Unit).
Proven experience in preventive maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, and reliability improvement.
Strong root cause analysis, problem-solving, and data analysis skills.
Good English communication skills.
Hands-on, proactive approach and ability to work effectively on the shop floor
