Mechanical Technician

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician with a strong background in oil and gas production equipment. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing natural gas compressors, pumps, vapor recovery units (VRUs), and other production equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, diagnose, and repair mechanical equipment used in oil and gas production operations.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on compressors, pumps, VRUs, and associated production equipment.
• Identify mechanical failures, determine root causes, and implement appropriate repairs.
• Understand the operation of production equipment and how individual components work together within a production facility.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and after-hours callouts in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and equipment documentation.
• Independently prioritize daily maintenance activities and manage multiple assignments.
• Follow all company and client safety procedures and operating standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with CAT 3606/3608 compressors (including older units), VRUs, gas lift compression, gear pumps, SWD pumps (PD and triplex), LACT units, and general pump operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Strong organizational skills, initiative, and the ability to manage daily workloads independently.
• Must live in Coyanosa, Odessa, Monahans, Pecos, or surrounding area. Housing is not provided.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Must be able to meet all conditional job offer requirements.
