Job Description

Kisco Valencia Terrace is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented professional with experience in Medication Administration, As a Medication Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting resident health and well-being by ensuring medications are administered safely and accurately while promoting dignity and independence. In this role, you will be part of a collaborative care team dedicated to delivering high-quality, resident-centered care in a supportive and engaging environment.

Location: Valencia Terrace

Schedule: FT Sun-Thurs 2p-10:30p

Pay Range: $18/$19hr

What You’ll Do

• Administer medications or assist residents with self-administration in accordance with physician orders and regulations
• Observe residents for changes in condition and report concerns promptly to the care team
• Accurately document medication administration and resident care activities
• Receive, verify, and manage medications from pharmacies
• Monitor medication inventory and coordinate timely reordering
• Assist with clinical tasks such as vital signs, weights, and diabetic care (as permitted by state regulations)
• Support residents with activities of daily living while encouraging independence
• Learn resident preferences to provide personalized and compassionate care
• Promote resident dignity, safety, and overall well-being
• Participate in wellness programs and support a vibrant community environment
• Collaborate with team members to ensure continuity and quality of care
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory, safety, and organizational standards

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of a state-approved Nursing Assistant course (if required)
• Previous experience in senior living, assisted living, or healthcare preferred
• Knowledge of medication administration and basic clinical practices
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Compassionate, resident-focused approach to care
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic systems
• Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age (or meet state requirements)
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• Completion of required medication administration training and/or certification per state regulations
