Key Responsibilities:

Establish, manage, and continuously improve a robust compliance framework in accordance with MiFID II and the Austrian Securities Supervision Act 2018 (WAG 2018).

Draft, implement, and maintain internal policies, procedures, and controls relevant to the Compliance area.

Act as the subject matter expert on investment services and activities under MiFID II / WAG 2018, providing regulatory guidance to internal teams.

Prepare and deliver clear, actionable reports on compliance topics to senior management and the Board.

Oversee and advise on complaints handling processes, ensuring alignment with relevant regulatory requirements and internal standards.

Monitor regulatory developments in European capital markets and proactively adapt internal frameworks to ensure ongoing compliance.

What to bring

Legal Background: University degree in Law and qualification as a legal professional.

Industry Experience: at least 5 years of experience in a compliance department at an investment firm, in the capital markets division of a bank, a reputable law firm or regulator.

Policy Expertise: Profound experience in the preparation and implementation of policies and procedures relevant to the Compliance area.

Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of investment services and activities under MiFID II / WAG 2018 and the broader regulatory framework.

Framework Management: Ideally, a proven track record of having successfully established or managed a compliance framework under MiFID II / WAG 2018.

Leadership Communication: Experienced in senior management reporting and presenting complex compliance topics clearly to executive stakeholders.

Process Oversight: At least a basic knowledge of complaints handling processes and their associated regulatory requirements.

Languages: Excellent communication skills with fluency in both German and English required.
