The Night Porter will support the smooth running and objectives of the Front Office department. All members of the department work together to create memorable moments for guests, in line with both company and hotel-specific service standards and collaborate closely with other departments within the hotel. You will act as an ambassador for your own hotel and the wider Leonardo Hotels estate, demonstrating the company vision, mission and values. At all times, you will treat others around you with respect, dignity and fairness.

As a Night Porter, you’ll be right in the heart of the hotel, so we want you to take pride in everything you’ll be doing to support your Head of Department and keep things running like clockwork. Take a deep breath because you’ll be stepping into a busy role! Whilst working as part of a vibrant team, you’ll be maximising guest satisfaction by delivering excellent guest care at all times. As well as interacting with guests at welcome and departure, you’ll also be shaping their experience by getting involved in the Kitchen to prepare room service orders.

If you’re our ideal Night Porter, you will:

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome and assist guests arriving late or departing early in a professional and friendly manner.
• Assisting guests with luggage, and assist with guest requests efficiently.
• Providing advice on hotel facilities as well as local places of interest
• Valet parking cars
• Preparing and serving Late Night Room Service food and drinks.
• Monitor the premises and conduct regular security checks to ensure guest and staff safety.
• Marble polishing once a week
• Hoover and maintain the cleanliness in the lobby, reception, toilets, public areas and hotel front during the night shift.
• Assist in preparing the hotel lobby for the next day’s operations, including water station.
• Ensure taxi bookings are correctly scheduled and up to date.
• Support the Night Manager with emergency procedures if needed (e.g., fire alarm, medical emergency).
• Report maintenance issues and any unusual occurrences to the relevant departments.
• Be detail-oriented: you’ll be setting out ambient breakfast items in the morning, and it needs to look great!
• (Along with your other colleagues in the Night team), take responsibility for the safety and security of the hotel and our guests
  • Carry out regular Fire Walks each night
