About this role

Job Purpose & Context
To ensure that the implementation of P2i’s technology is delivered effectively and efficiently. Support and monitor on-site production of P2i nanocoating processes and ensure all production follows the SOP’s and Work Instructions. Assist in process adjustments and provide troubleshooting and machine maintenance.

Main Responsibilities

  • Machine trouble shooting and repair (Electrical & Mechanical)
  • Preventative maintenance
  • New site facility audits, installation, set up and production training to operators
  • Machine upgrades, assembly & validation
  • Daily machine maintenance checks
  • Monitor daily operation & ensure operators follow P2i procedure
  • Replacement of consumable materials and stock replenishment
  • Machine quality issue identification, escalation & remedial suggestion
  • Product coating performance quality issue identification & correction
  • Update production, maintenance, upgrade & validation records

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support other sites by travel if assigned
  • Involve in NPI trial run to transfer from pilot stage to mass production
  • Ensure Health, Safety & Environmental requirements are met
  • Process optimization including recommendation for customers’ on-site process flow improvement

P2i Service & Support staff, P2i Operations management, P2i Technical sales support, P2i Product specialists, Operators and customers.




Academic Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering with electronics or similar/equivalent.


Skills & Experience

Essential

  • 3 years or above in a similar position in thin film or nano coating equipment such as CVD, PECVD, PVD, etc.
  • Demonstrated capability of machine electro-mechanical problem solving and troubleshooting.
  • Broad technical skills (electrical/electronic/mechanical)
  • Ability to read electrical/circuit/wiring diagrams
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic & vacuum for processing & validation
  • Flexibility to travel if assigned/requested
  • Detail-oriented in data recording and root cause analysis
  • High level in written and oral English
  • Good Excel/Word/Power Point (MS Office) skills and ability to create reports


Desirable

  • Knowledge of PLC operation.
