Operations Officer

Our client, a well-established investment company licensed by the MFSA and a member of the MSE, is currently looking for an Operations Officer to join their team. Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will be supporting the routine operational processes while ensuring that client transactions, regulatory reports and internal admin tasks are effected accurately and on time.

This is a hybrid role that offers a salary up to €25K.

Role & Responsibilities

• Process and credit client income payments, including dividends and interest

• Post and settle client funds, transfers, and subscriptions/redemptions with providers and clients, including FX conversions and internal transfers of assets and cash

• Process purchase and sale orders with fund managers, as well as new bond issues and IPO applications

• Handle corporate actions

• Issue contract notes

• Carry out reconciliations of holdings and other operational reconciliations

• Support client account queries and internal requests relating to transactions and account movements

• Assist team members with additional operational tasks, including system maintenance and data updates, and provide general administrative support to the department and management

Education, Skills & Experience

• MQF Level 4 certifications in Administration, Investments, Accounting, Finance, or related

• Experience within a financial services company in Malta

• Excellent communication skills in English both written and verbal

• Proficient in Excel and accounting software

• Analytical and organised with a keen eye for detail

• Able to work independently and within a team

• Multi-tasker with the ability to prioritise work and respect deadlines

• A hands-on approach with a 'can do' attitude
