Responsibilities

Job Summary: ​The Orthodontic Assistant (X-Ray Certified) (OA) is an important part of Chord Specialty Dental Partners team. This position is primarily responsible for performing clinical and non-clinical duties to ensure compassionate, effective, and efficient delivery of high quality standard of care for patients. A successful OA exhibits an efficient, knowledgeable, and positive countenance for every patient experience

Responsibilities:

• Must be able to work in a pediatric, child friendly environment
• Advise parent or guardian what to expect in the visit and address any concerns
• Obtaining all x-rays necessary in the best quality possible
• Maintaining accurate clinical notes of each visit
• Must maintain Dental Assisting License in good standing and complete the CE Credits required by state
• Assists doctor with cementation of bands and bracket placement.
• Removes and places wires, ties, power chains/thread
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

What you’ll Need: 

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current State of TN RDA License
• Current CPR Healthcare Provider Certification
• Polishing and Radiology Certification
• Sealants Course?

Preferred, but not required

• Bilingual-Spanish preferred.

Compensation: $18 - $20/hour

Location: Rotating between our Indy and Greenfield office

Schedule: Monday 9:45am-5pm (Greenfield), Tuesday 6:45am - 4:00pm (Indy), Wednesday & Thursday 6:45am - 4:00pm (Greenfield/Indy), and some Fridays 6:45am - 1:00pm (Indy)
