We’re currently seeking an Occupational Therapist to join a skilled nursing facility in Stockton, CA. Centrally located in California's Central Valley with easy access to the Bay Area, Sacramento, and the mountains — Stockton is a convenient and accessible home base for a travel contract.
Details of the role:
- Anticipated start date: Flexible
- Salary range: Up to $2,340 weekly
- Anticipated duration of contract: 13 weeks
- Contract type: Travel, Permanent, or Travel-to-Perm
Clinical Duties:
- Assess residents and create personalized OT care plans.
- Provide skilled therapy to improve ADLs and mobility.
- Treat orthopedic, neurological, and post-acute conditions.
- Teach adaptive strategies and safe use of assistive devices.
- Collaborate with nursing and rehab teams for coordinated care.
- Communicate goals and discharge plans with residents and families.
- Maintain accurate evaluations, notes, and progress documentation.
- Monitor outcomes and adjust interventions for optimal results.
- Follow facility policies and state regulatory guidelines.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist license in the state of California.
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Knowledge of post-acute rehabilitation, ADL retraining, and adaptive equipment.
- Ability to assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
- Proficient documentation and time management skills.
