Panel Beater

The successful applicant will be involved in the repair and restoration of commercial vehicle bodywork, including:

Repairing damaged, dented and corroded panels

Traditional panel beating and metal finishing

Removing and replacing damaged body panels

Rust and corrosion repairs

Fabricating repair sections where replacement panels are unavailable

Cutting, shaping and forming sheet metal

MIG welding and general fabrication work

Repairing truck cabs, doors, wings and other body components

Preparing repaired panels to a high standard before the paint preparation stage

Disassembly and reassembly of vehicle body components

Working on complete vehicle restoration projects from start to finish

Requirements

Has previous experience in panel beating, body repair or vehicle restoration

Has good metalworking and fabrication skills

Is confident carrying out welding and rust repairs

Can work accurately and achieve a high-quality finish

Has excellent attention to detail

Can work independently as well as part of a team

Takes pride in producing work to a high standard
