Optimum Therapies is a locally owned, therapist-led physical therapy practice with locations across Wisconsin and North Dakota. We are currently seeking a full-time
Patient Care Coordinator to support our physical therapy services in collaboration with Chippewa Valley Orthopedics and Sports Medicine (CVOSM) and Cedar Crest Surgery Center. This position is employed by Optimum Therapies and works onsite at the CVOSM location, just down the road from our Rice Lake clinic.

As the Patient Care Coordinator, you will help coordinate the patient experience from referral through treatment, working closely with our physical therapists, CVOSM physicians and staff, patients, insurance companies, and referring offices.

What You'll Do

A typical day may include:

• Greeting patients and providing a positive, supportive experience

• Scheduling appointments and managing therapist schedules and daily clinic flow

• Answering phone calls and communicating with patients, physician offices, and other healthcare partners

• Coordinating patient referrals and maintaining accurate patient and insurance information

• Verifying insurance eligibility and benefits and obtaining necessary prior authorizations

• Tracking authorization requirements and communicating with therapists and patients to prevent interruptions in care

• Collaborating closely with Optimum Therapies therapists and CVOSM physicians and staff to support excellent patient care and daily clinic operations

Schedule & Work Environment

• Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week

• Monday through Friday

• No weekends or holidays

• Primarily located onsite at the Chippewa Valley Orthopedics and Sports Medicine location in Rice Lake

• Collaborative healthcare environment with direct interaction with physical therapists, physicians, clinical staff, patients, and referring offices

• Close partnership with the Optimum Therapies of Rice Lake team located less than a half mile away

• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities

• Comfortable using computers and learning multiple healthcare software systems

• A proactive, dependable team player who takes ownership and follows tasks through to completion

• Previous experience in healthcare, administration, customer service, or reception is preferred

• Experience with health insurance verification, benefits, referrals, and prior authorizations is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

• Starting wage of $18.00-$19.00 per hour based on experience
