What the job looks like?

The Payment System Specialist will have the opportunity to:


  • Act as the primary point of contact for external Payment Service Providers (PSPs), banks, and other payment partners, ensuring smooth day-to-day service delivery and strong business relationships.
  • Manage the onboarding of new PSPs and banking partners, including due diligence, contract coordination, implementation, and ongoing relationship management.
  • Coordinate payment system integrations by gathering business requirements, supporting user acceptance testing , and working closely with IT teams to ensure successful implementation and deployment.
  • Monitor, optimize, and enhance deposit and withdrawal processes to ensure an efficient, secure, and seamless client payment experience.
  • Optimize payment routing and orchestration by monitoring approval rates (ARs), PSP performance, and transaction flows to improve payment success and client experience.
  • Support liquidity management, fund allocation, settlement processes, and payment routing to maximize operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the Funding, Customer Support, Finance, Treasury, Compliance, and IT teams to investigate, resolve, and prevent payment-related issues.
  • Identify opportunities to improve payment systems, operational processes, automation, and the overall user experience.
  • Research and evaluate new PSPs, banking solutions, payment technologies, and industry trends to support the Group's global payment strategy.
  • Monitor payment provider performance and recommend improvements to optimize transaction success rates, costs, and service quality.
  • Ensure payment operations comply with internal policies and applicable regulatory requirements.


What will you need to be able to do the job?

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role within the Payments, Banking, FinTech, or Financial Services industry. Experience with international payment operations will be considered an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of payment operations, transaction flows, settlements, payment processing, reconciliation principles, and payment lifecycles.
  • Good knowledge of AML, KYC, sanctions screening, and payment industry regulations.
  • Experience managing relationships and negotiating commercial terms with PSPs, banks, and other financial partners.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work closely with IT, Accounting, Treasury, Compliance, Legal, Business Development, Customer Support, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Good understanding of payment systems, APIs, payment gateways, and system integrations.
  • Experience working with payment platforms, banking portals, CRM systems, or other financial operations software. Knowledge of reporting tools, or data analysis platforms will be considered an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational issues.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
