Pearl Spas - Assistant Spa Manager

db Group, Malta’s leader in the hospitality and leisure sector, is seeking an experienced Spa Assistant Manager to join Pearl Spas.

The Role

Reporting to the Spa Cluster Manager, the Spa Assistant Manager will support the daily management of spa operations, ensuring that guests receive an exceptional experience while maintaining the highest standards of service, cleanliness and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Spa Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the spa.
• Supervise, motivate and guide the spa team during their daily duties.
• Ensure that all guests receive a professional, welcoming and personalised service.
• Manage treatment bookings, guest enquiries, payments and complaints efficiently.
• Assist with staff scheduling and ensure adequate departmental coverage.
• Promote spa treatments, packages, memberships and retail products.
• Support the department in achieving its revenue and sales targets.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory control.
• Ensure treatment rooms, relaxation areas and spa facilities are maintained to the required standards.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures, hygiene requirements and company standards.
• Assist with the training and development of spa employees.
• Take responsibility for the department in the Spa Manager’s absence.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within a spa, wellness centre or hospitality environment.
• A qualification in beauty therapy, spa management, wellness or a related field will be considered an asset.
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
• Excellent customer-service and problem-solving abilities.
• Good commercial awareness with the ability to support sales and revenue growth.
• Good working knowledge of English.
• Flexible and willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays when required.
• A professional attitude with strong attention to detail.
