Clinic based Internal Medicine position at premier practice in the Texas Medical Center Area. Large independent group practice with full ancillary testing on-site, internal medicine subspecialty colleagues, and dedicated hospitalist team. EPIC EMR.

A. Duties and Responsibilities
1. Responsible for providing medical services in the general care and treatment of patients in the Clinic and at the hospital(s); diagnoses and treats illnesses or diseases of the patients; instructs patients in their proper care and treatment alternatives; instructs staff as needed; informs and educates the patients; provides appropriate emotional support; makes referrals for specialized treatment; follows up on progress.
2. Responsible for seeing any patient presented to the doctor through Clinic’s “central scheduling/patient distribution” coordinator, through any Partner-physician, or at any time while on call for another Clinic physician.

1. Thoroughly evaluates and manages each patient appropriately.
2. Demonstrates excellent interpretive skills of test results.
3. Demonstrates excellent procedural skills and appropriate use of procedures and testing.
4. Understands and is responsive to patients’ needs and concerns.
5. Interacts with patients in a caring, sensitive manner.
6. Receives minimal number of patient complaints. Receives positive patient satisfaction surveys.
7. Demonstrates excellent diagnostic skills and identifies relevant medical issues accurately.
C. Education and Experience
1. Graduate of an accredited School of Medicine, U.S. residency trained.
2. Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Texas.
3. Board certified in internal medicine and in area of specialty, if applicable, (must be board certified/eligible upon date of hire and must become board certified within first twelve months of employment).
