🏡 About the Role

Centria caregivers provide essential in-home support to help individuals remain safe, comfortable, and independent. You’ll work one-on-one with clients in a private home setting, supporting their unique care needs.

About the Client

This client is a sweet 82 year old male who is a left leg amputee and is seeking assistance, ensuring his CPAP machine remains on and his bedding is managed, while maintaining appropriate nail length and hygienic environment to prevent skin irritation due to his tender skin condition. This position requires extreme attention to detail and a commitment to "awake" shifts.

Schedule & Consistency

• Shifts: 7 days/nights per week (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM).
• Team Structure: We are looking for exactly two aides to share the full weekly schedule.
• Commitment: The client does not utilize fill-ins; we require a consistent, long-term commitment from the selected team.

Key Requirements

• CPAP Monitoring: Ensure the CPAP machine remains properly positioned and functional throughout the night.
• Mobility/Comfort Support: Assist with retrieving and repositioning blankets and pillows to maintain comfort.
• Skin Integrity Protocols: Due to extremely tender skin, caregivers must maintain natural, short, and smooth nails. No fake, sharp, or pointy nails are permitted to prevent accidental injury.

Critical Expectations

• Strict "No-Sleep" Policy: This is an awake shift. Sleeping on duty is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate removal from the case.
• Professionalism: A focused, observant, and disciplined approach to care is essential for this client’s safety and comfort.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience in overnight geriatric care.
• Ability to remain alert and engaged during the entire shift.
• Excellent reliability and punctuality.
• Compassionate but professional demeanor.

✅ Responsibilities

• Assist with mobility and transfers to prevent falls
• Provide basic personal care, including hygiene, toileting, and dressing
• Monitor and assist with oxygen therapy as needed
• Prepare light snacks or drinks upon request
• Offer companionship and emotional reassurance throughout the shift
• Assist in positioning and turning to prevent discomfort
• Document and report changes in client condition promptly
• Respond to emergencies following proper procedures
• Perform duties as outlined in the patient’s plan of care
• Monitor client’s physical and mental condition, intake/output, and exercise
• Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy care environment
• Follow professional standards, care policies, and local/state/federal requirements

📝 Qualifications

• CNA, HHA, or equivalent experience in home care preferred
• Experience working with fall-risk and mobility-impaired clients strongly desired
• Must be comfortable assisting with personal care tasks
• Reliable, patient, and attentive to individual needs
• Comfortable working in a private home setting
• Ability to work independently and follow a care plan
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Comfortable using tablets/computers for documentation
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow all care protocols
• Ability to address minor medical concerns as they arise

• Valid Driver’s License
• Current CPR Certification
• Clear Background Check
• Negative TB Test Results
• Proof of Auto Insurance (with your name listed on the policy)
