Product Owner (Mid-level/Senior) - Fintech & Lending

We're looking for a Product Owner to help build the next generation of financing technology. You will play a key role in shaping a modern lending platform that enables financial institutions to launch and scale digital financing products with speed, flexibility, and regulatory confidence.

You'll work closely with engineering, design, business, and stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable product capabilities, with a strong focus on user experience, operational efficiency, and compliance.

What you’ll do

• Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring priorities align with business objectives.
• Gather, analyze, and document business and user requirements.
• Write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering, UI/UX, QA, and stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.
• Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and product demos.
• Define MVPs and roadmap priorities based on customer value and business impact.
• Work closely with customers to understand their operational workflows and pain points.
• Analyze product usage, customer feedback, and market trends to drive continuous improvements.
• Support product discovery, solution validation, and feature prioritization.
• Ensure product quality by validating delivered features against business requirements.
• Collaborate with compliance and business teams to ensure regulatory requirements are reflected in the product.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Product Ownership, Business Analysis or a similar role.
• Experience delivering B2B SaaS products or enterprise platforms.
• Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Proven ability to write detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and product requirements.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working closely with engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Figma, Miro, or similar.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in fintech, digital banking, lending, leasing, BNPL, or consumer/SME financing.
• Strong understanding of Loan Origination Systems (LOS), Loan Management Systems (LMS), collections, underwriting, servicing, or credit operations.
• Familiarity with financial integrations such as KYC/KYB, AML, Open Banking, payment gateways, credit bureaus, e-signature, and identity verification.
• Experience building configurable or white-label SaaS platforms.
• Experience working with regulated financial institutions.

Big Plus

• Experience in the Saudi Arabian financial services market.
• Knowledge of SAMA regulations and digital lending practices.
• Experience working with financing companies, banks, or fintechs serving the GCC market.
• Exposure to Islamic finance products and financing workflows.
• Experience participating in customer discovery sessions.
• Knowledge of data-driven product management and product analytics.
• Understanding of AI-assisted product features or workflow automation.
• Experience working in high-growth startups or scale-ups.
