SUMMARY: This position is for responsible for the creation of shop orders and necessary shop packet documentation; schedules for and communicates production changes out to shop floor.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Communicate with coworkers regarding delivery information and coordination of production plan to shop floor.
- Review the MPS and MRP data and take appropriate actions required to issue, change or flag production orders to meet customer demand.
- Ensure that there is adequate lead time to complete orders released to the shop floor and help develop a plan for items that need to be scheduled with short lead times (expedite).
- Work with Process Technicians to ensure that the approval process triggers new specification so that production can start without delay.
- Perform other duties as required or requested.

Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Associate degree or equivalent work experience in Production Planning.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have good communication skills in English.
- Must have a working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Must have experience with SAP system, required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work environment consist of mainly office setting but may go into manufacturing area periodically which may have exposure to noise, varying temperatures, and rubber smells.
