Project Controls Manager (00601)

Organizational Responsibilities

• Develop and implement project cost control processes, tools, and procedures; prepare and maintain detailed cost estimates; analyze variances, trends, and forecast impacts; and provide recommendations to optimize budget performance.
• Develop, maintain, and analyze EPC project schedules using Primavera P6, applying scheduling best practices, earned value principles, baseline management, forecasting techniques, and corrective actions to achieve project milestones.
• Create and deliver clear, actionable cost and schedule reports for internal and external stakeholders, effectively communicating project status, performance trends, risks, and key insights.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, clients, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with budget and schedule objectives while supporting project execution and client engagements across multiple industries.
• Drive continuous improvement within project controls through process enhancements, advanced use of cost and scheduling tools, mentorship and knowledge sharing, business development support, and proactive problem-solving and decision-making.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field required.

5+ years of experience in project controls, cost engineering, or scheduling.

Experience with Primavera P6 scheduling software.

Proficiency with cost management software and advanced Excel skills preferred.

Experience with earned value management (EVM), including CPI, SPI, EV, PV, and AC analysis preferred.

Experience with change management, including evaluating cost and schedule impacts of change orders, RFIs, and scope changes.

Experience developing executive-level dashboards and project controls reports for clients and senior leadership.

Strong written and verbal communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Professional certifications such as PMP, PSP, or PE are preferred.
