Project Engineer

Speedwell Construction is looking for a motivated Project Engineer to join our project management team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to build a career in commercial construction while gaining hands-on experience working alongside Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and owners.

As a Project Engineer, you will be involved in projects from planning through closeout, gaining exposure to the processes, technology, and relationships that keep a construction project moving. We are looking for someone who is organized, comfortable with technology, eager to learn, and willing to take increasing ownership as their knowledge and experience grow.

What You'll Do

Manage the submittal process and prepare, track, and maintain Requests for Information (RFIs).

Review and work with construction drawings, specifications, contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and other project documentation.

Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and engineers.

Solicit subcontractor and supplier pricing for change-order work.

Assist with subcontractor and vendor buyout for assigned scopes of work.

Help resolve scope, drawing, and document coordination questions.

Maintain organized and current digital drawing sets and project information.

Support project-specific safety planning and jobsite documentation.

Take ownership of project closeout documentation and deliverables.

Visit active construction sites for meetings, coordination, and inspections.

Required

High school diploma or equivalent

Basic understanding of computers and technology

Valid driver's license

Preferred, but not required

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field

Commercial or industrial construction experience

OSHA 10-hour certification

Experience with Bluebeam, Viewpoint, Revit, Microsoft Project, or similar construction technology
