We are seeking a highly proactive and technically proficient Project Engineer (Site Specified) to support the project leadership team in the effective coordination and control of construction delivery. This role is instrumental in ensuring that site operations align with project objectives through the rigorous management of technical, engineering, and quality control standards.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a broad range of project elements, including inspection, scheduling, planning, and surveying, while facilitating seamless communication between procurement and field execution. By maintaining strict adherence to engineering specifications and project timelines, this role ensures the smooth and successful delivery of on-site works.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Analyze and understand the designs to ensure that they are effective in meeting project objectives.
Suggest appropriate solutions for site problems based on the logics of the design.
Establish suitable construction practices to achieve the functions of each infrastructure project.
Support with construction material procurement based on the site requirements.
Assist with the goods delivery and unloading at proper place.
Record material consumption and assist the re-storage of the remaining materials
Manage daily construction activities to ensure project milestones are achieved
Monitor and report the performance of the workforce and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to technical, program, quality, environmental, safety, and commercial standards
Attend design reviews and provide input on constructability, temporary works designs, safety, site access, and related issues.
Plan and implement site establishment activities, ensuring compliance with site-specific and contract requirements, including location, fencing, signage, environmental, and traffic conditions
Identify, analyze, and mitigate potential risks, maintaining a risk register and initiating corrective actions as needed
QA/QC inspection and highlight any discrepancies through the execution of project activities
Record concealed work honestly and comply with the design.
Create, monitor, and control project schedules
Assist with the daily worker scheduling of the responsible projects.
Participate in key survey works to ensure acceptable accuracy.
Recognize the material or tool demand before conducting the actual work and report the requirements.
Requirements
Relevant civil/construction engineering Bachelor qualification.
Proven 3 to 5 years’ experience in a Construction / Engineering environment.
Familiar with Chinese construction standards and Chinese drafting style
Proficiency in language abilities in multiple languages (e.g. Mandarin Chinese and English)
Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
Professional-level written and verbal communication skills
Robust analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Comprehensive knowledge of current market conditions, construction techniques, and relevant industry standards
Proficiency with digital tools and relevant technology
Proven ability to effectively collaborate within teams and confidently work independently
Strong stakeholder relationship-building skills
An approachable, professional, and friendly demeanors, combined with enthusiasm and dedication to their work
