Project Manager

Ridango is the software operating system of choice for public transportation providers globally, specialising in automated fare collection, real-time passenger information systems, automatic vehicle location tracking, employee apps, school transport, and data intelligence to enhance the efficiency, accessibility, and sustainability of local authorities, operators & passengers.

We are hiring a Project Manager to run the AVM side of a large ITC programme in Abu Dhabi. You'll be the single point of accountability for this scope, from mobilisation through the Area Go-Lives, client acceptance, and handover into steady-state operations.

This is a resident role. You'll need to relocate to and live in Abu Dhabi for the duration. You'll represent Ridango inside the programme's governance structure and answer for schedule, milestones, deliverables, risk, and change, while coordinating with a prime contractor, a local installation/O&M partner, and Ridango's own delivery team.

What the job actually involves:

• Owning the delivery baseline: scope, schedule, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and resourcing, tracked against a milestone set tied to a liquidated-damages/KPI regime.
• Running mobilisation and design: governance set-up, requirements workshops, high-level design, depot visits, vehicle inspection surveys, and getting the quality/test baseline in place.
• Leading the Area Go-Lives: installation, integration, testing, cutover, training, and stabilisation once systems are live.
• Driving acceptance and the handover into warranty/maintenance, through to eventual contract hand-back.
• Sitting on the programme board, keeping a live risk and issue register, and escalating properly when things need it.
• Holding the line on change control - nothing gets added to scope outside the formal process, and every change gets assessed for cost, schedule, BOM and SLA impact.
• Reporting the same numbers to the client, the prime contractor, and Ridango management, consistently.
• Owning the test baseline and the traceability chain from requirements through to acceptance.

What we need from you

• Fluent English (Arabic is a bonus).
• Real experience delivering a large, multi-stakeholder public-transport ITS programme - AVM, CAD-AVL, RTPI, AFC or similar - within the last 4 years.
• Experience working under milestone/liquidated-damages contracts with formal acceptance certificates and KPI deductions.
• Experience as a subcontractor inside a prime or consortium PMO - you know what it's like to hold your scope boundary against a prime and a local partner.
• A PM credential (PRINCE2, PMP or similar), and you're comfortable working inside whatever framework the client mandates.
• Willingness to relocate to Abu Dhabi and get the residency/labour permits sorted.
• The confidence to run governance conversations with a government client at director level.

Good to have, not required:

• Prior work in the GCC or specifically Abu Dhabi.
• Some familiarity with sovereign-cloud requirements and how public-sector clients handle acceptance.
• Depot/fleet installation experience across a multi-operator bus network.
• Having taken a programme through transition into O&M and contract hand-back before.
