Project Manager (R&D)

We are now looking for a Project Manager to join our R&D team in Gothenburg.

About the Role

In the role you will lead complex, high-impact development projects within our global R&D organization. In this role, you will take ownership of end-to-end delivery, ensuring projects are executed efficiently, meeting quality standards, and drive innovation across our product portfolio.

You will play a crucial role in strengthening project management practices and driving continuous improvement, while mentoring colleagues and contributing to the development of both products and people.

As a Project Manager (R&D), you will:

• Lead and coordinate cross-functional R&D projects across global teams (R&D, Supply, Marketing, Regulatory & Legal)

• Own end-to-end project delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic priorities

• Ensure compliance with quality, regulatory standards, and internal development processes

• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and compliance risks proactively

• Plan, execute, and continuously improve project methodologies and ways of working

• Drive collaboration and knowledge sharing across projects and teams

• Build strong stakeholder relationships and ensure alignment across functions and leadership levels

• Deliver clear reporting and strategic recommendations to steering committees

Your Profile

Experience & Background

• Degree (BSc/MSc) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field

• 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager or Engineering team leader

• Experience from product development of products including electronics, mechanics and embedded SW

• Experience from managing cross-functional projects in global environments

• Certification in project management (e.g. PMP) is a plus.

• Experience and interest in project management methodologies and tools (e.g. Jira, MS Project, PLM/ALM tools)

• Experience and interest in product development processes

• Ability to manage complexity, risk, and change effectively

• Strong collaboration and conflict management capabilities

• Blend of business acumen, engineering interest and understanding of project impact on organizational success
