Direct Manager: Supply Chain Manager
Key Responsibilities
Purchasing & Supplier Management
- Manage end-to-end purchasing activities, including monitoring inventory levels and issuing purchase orders.
- Maintain daily communication with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and continuity of supply.
- Lead cross-functional discussions to align purchasing plans with production and demand requirements.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers to improve performance, responsiveness, and reliability.
Inventory Planning & Forecasting
- Monitor and analyze inventory levels to ensure optimal stock balance.
- Implement plans and actions to prevent shortages, excess inventory, and obsolescence.
- Support demand planning and collaborate closely with planning and warehouse teams.
Continuous Improvement & Cost Optimization
- Identify and implement cost-reduction opportunities across the supply base.
- Develop and qualify alternative (second-source) suppliers to mitigate risk and enhance flexibility.
- Establish and improve purchasing processes and workflows for both ongoing production and new product introductions (NPI).
Engineering & R&D Support

- Source specialized and custom components for engineering and product development projects.
- Ensure timely procurement to support project milestones and accelerate development timelines.
Supplier Quality & Performance

- Support supplier qualification processes in collaboration with QA.
- Drive supplier improvement initiatives and corrective action plans as needed.
- Monitor supplier performance metrics and ensure compliance with company standards.
Logistics & Trade Operations

- Support import and export activities, including coordination of inbound components and outbound medical device shipments.
- Work with logistics partners to ensure efficient, compliant, and cost-effective transportation.
- Ensure documentation and processes meet regulatory and operational requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- 2 years of experience in purchasing / supply chain / logistics
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment (medical devices – advantage)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Fluent in English
- Medical devices or pharmaceuticals experience – advantage.
- Hands-on experience with global ERP software Experience (SAP – advantage)
- Import export experience – advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
