what will you do?

  • own collection performance for the assigned geography and buckets; understand local portfolio characteristics, monitor portfolio movement, and drive resolution and recovery outcomes.
  • lead, coach, and develop the collections team; set clear expectations, review productivity and performance, and drive the team towards collection targets.
  • manage collection agencis across the assigned geography; ensure adequate capacity, drive productivity and resolution outcomes, and maintain adherence to quality and compliance standards.
  • own resolution and recovery targets for the assigned portfolio; analyse MIS and key recovery metrics, identify performance gaps, and implement corrective actions to improve outcomes.
  • lead the implementation of collection strategies across calling and field operations, including tracing, legal recovery, dual allocation, and other relevant recovery levers.
  • ensure adherence to collection processes, RBI guidelines, company policies, and Prefr’s code of conduct; proactively identify and address compliance or process gaps.
  • ensure disciplined execution of field operations by tracking input metrics such as visits, on-time visits, allocation, and disposition.
  • manage the region in a cost-effective manner and ensure collection costs remain within defined guardrails.
  • proactively identify geographical, capacity, agency, and portfolio-level challenges and raise timely red flags.
  • work closely with operations, risk, legal, analytics, and strategy teams to resolve dependencies and improve collection outcomes.
  • provide feedback and recommendations to central strategy and policy teams based on regional challenges and opportunities.
  • play an active role in hiring and developing collection talent for the region and contribute to hiring across other regions as required.

    • you should apply if you:

    • have 10+ years of experience in collections, preferably across unsecured PL portfolios.
    • have strong knowledge of the geography being hired for and the local collections ecosystem.
    • have experience managing large portfolios, collection teams, and agency partners.
    • have strong understanding of recovery metrics, collection strategies, and portfolio performance.
    • are data-driven, result-oriented, and able to diagnose and solve collection challenges.
    • have strong understanding of the code of conduct and can drive compliant, customer-centric collections.
    • are proficient in the local language and comfortable working with cross-functional teams.
