About the Role

You are a suitably qualified,experiencedand highly motivated Anaesthetic/PACU nurse who isseekinga challenging and rewarding opportunity to become part of our dynamic team.Under the guidance of the Nurse Unit Manager or Associate Nurse Unit Manager,youwillbe responsible forthe delivery of expert clinical carein the peri-anaesthetic environment.Weare able toprovide you with excellent educational opportunities across a broad range of specialities including Cardiothoracic, Vascular, Neurosurgery, ENT, Plastics, General, Urology and Orthopaedics.

• Ability to work efficiently as a member of a multidisciplinary team

• Demonstrate ‘best practice’ clinical skills within the Perioperative environment

• Act as a clinical role model by providing the highest standard of direct patient care

• Demonstrate sound clinical knowledgein the area ofPerioperative Nursing (Perianaesthesiastream)

• Accurately document patient carein accordance withhospital guidelines

• Assistsin the achievement of ward / unit key performance indicators.

Classifications for this position will range from YP3–YP9 ($86,580 - $107,510 base salary per annum pro rata).

You will also have:

• A currentAHPRA registration
• At least 12 months of currentclinicalexperience inAnaesthetic andPACUnursing
• Postgraduate qualifications in Perioperative Nursing (Peri-anaesthesia stream), such as a Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma, are desirable

• A valid Nationally Coordinated Criminal History check, or willing to obtain

Working alongside the Sterile Processing Centre, Day Procedures,Cath Lab and Endoscopy Centres,the department undertakes over13,000 procedures per year in a vast range of highly specialised and complex specialities over a24 hourperiod, 7 days per week.We offer a supportive multidisciplinary environment with a strong focus on education and ongoing professional development.
