Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the telemetry unit, monitoring cardiac rhythms and vital signs continuously.
- Conduct patient assessments and report any changes in condition promptly to the healthcare team.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care, observations, and interventions according to hospital policies.
- Educate patients and families on disease management, medications, and procedures related to cardiac care.
- Respond to emergencies and initiate appropriate nursing interventions in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice; compact license accepted if applicable.
- Minimum of 1 year of telemetry nursing experience required.
- BLS and ACLS certifications mandatory.
- Strong assessment skills with the ability to recognize cardiac emergencies quickly.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel and adapt to different healthcare settings as needed.
