Juriquilla, Querétaro, Mexico | Hybrid (3 days in the office) Shared Services works best when it does more than process transactions. It should improve controls, simplify processes, and give the business confidence in the numbers.We're looking for an Accountant – Reporting to join a growing finance team in Querétaro. This role sits within a Shared Service Centre environment supporting multiple entities and stakeholders across the region. If you've worked in an SSC before, you'll know that no two days are quite the same. One minute you're reviewing month-end reconciliations, the next you're helping untangle a reporting issue that's been bouncing around various inboxes for weeks.This is a role for someone who enjoys ownership, likes investigating problems properly, and can keep things moving without creating drama where none is needed.

The Role

You'll be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining balance sheet integrity, supporting statutory accounting requirements, and ensuring reporting deadlines are met across assigned entities.You'll work closely with finance teams, auditors, and key stakeholders across multiple countries, helping to create a more efficient, standardised, and well-controlled reporting function

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

• Run month-end and year-end reporting activities for assigned entities
• Prepare and review journals, accruals, prepayments and provisions
• Own balance sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding reconciling items
• Investigate reporting discrepancies and work with stakeholders to reach resolution
• Support statutory accounts preparation and local compliance requirements
• Manage audit requests and provide supporting documentation to internal and external auditors
• Drive consistency across accounting processes within the Shared Service Centre
• Identify opportunities to improve controls, automate reporting activities and reduce manual effort
• Partner with finance teams across multiple countries and business units
• Help strengthen financial controls and ensure compliance with company policies

Qualifications

What You'll Bring

• Experience working within a Shared Service Centre finance environment
• Strong general ledger, reporting and reconciliation experience
• Previous responsibility for month-end close activities
• Experience supporting multiple legal entities, business units or countries
• Confidence managing relationships with stakeholders across different locations
• Experience supporting audit and compliance activities
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems
• A naturally curious mindset and willingness to investigate issues rather than simply pass them on
• Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing deadlines
• Professional accounting qualification, part qualification, or equivalent experience would be advantageous
• Experience within a multinational business would be particularly valuable
