Safety Manager | New Brunswick, NJ

Responsibilities

HazTek is seeking a Safety Professional in New Brunswick, NJ to support construction activities on an active project site. This individual will work closely with the project superintendent and subcontractors to coordinate daily safety activities, review high-risk work, and promote compliance with the project safety plan.

Responsibilities:

• Review job hazard analyses (JHAs), pre-task plans, and high-risk work permits; walk down work areas with project personnel
• Conduct regular site inspections, document safety observations, and follow up on corrective actions
• Verify subcontractor safety submittals, training records, and equipment inspections
• Lead weekly toolbox talks and support site safety observation and recognition programs
• Assist with incident investigations, reporting, and follow-up
• Maintain safety records, including JHAs, permits, inspections, SDS, toolbox talks, and safety metrics

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Construction safety experience and the ability to work effectively with field crews and project leadership
• CHST, OSHA 30, CPR/First Aid, and NFPA 70E
• OSHA 510 preferred
• Scaffolding, confined space, fall protection, and HAZWOPER training preferred
• Proficiency with Procore and Microsoft Office
