Scientist, Visual Inspection Reference Standard Manufacturing

Clear Solutions Laboratories is a rapidly growing analytical service provider supporting pharmaceutical and biotech companies in ensuring product quality and compliance. We specialize in particle contamination control, visual inspection qualification, and advanced analytical services.

To support the expansion of our visual inspection test set manufacturing team, we are looking for an experienced scientist to contribute to our test set manufacturing operations.

About the Position

Location: Basel, Switzerland (Rosental area), on site

Start Date: as soon as possible

Employment Rate: 100% (permanent position)

Tasks

Your Responsibilities:

• Manufacturing of visual inspection test sets according to established procedures and manufacturing instructions.
• Prepare primary packaging components, formulations, solutions, suspensions, and other materials required for test set manufacturing.
• Perform established lyophilization, filling, sealing, packaging preparation, and particle or defect incorporation procedures.
• Manufacture reference samples containing defined particle and defect types according to approved procedures and specifications.
• Perform visual inspection, sorting, classification, and documentation of manufactured samples.
• Support the assembly and preparation of complete visual inspection test sets.
• Operate laboratory and manufacturing equipment according to established SOPs and work instructions.
• Accurately document manufacturing activities, observations, results, deviations, and material usage in accordance with the quality system.
• Maintain manufacturing materials, reference particles, consumables, equipment, and laboratory work areas.
• Support investigation and resolution of routine manufacturing deviations and technical issues together with senior scientists and project leads.
• Contribute to the reliable and timely execution of manufacturing projects for pharmaceutical and biotech clients.
• Work closely with colleagues from visual inspection, particle characterization, quality, and project management.

Requirements

Your Profile

• Bsc or apprenticeship in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in pharmaceutical process development, manufacturing, formulation, lyophilization, primary packaging, or visual inspection.
• Experience developing and implementing practical manufacturing procedures.
• Ability to work independently while supporting a multidisciplinary manufacturing team.
• Structured working style with strong documentation
• Innovative and hands-on mindset with an interest in developing new technical solutions.
