Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Control Coordinator in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting daily operations. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location by verifying identification, credentials, visitor authorization, and delivery or pickup information.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, driver, and vehicle entry records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, loading areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
