Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Licensed Unarmed Patrol Service in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist with access control. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while working as part of a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, care, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government office areas, public-facing spaces, entrances, exits, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor authorization in accordance with site procedures; direct visitors to appropriate public service areas when needed.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and emergency responders as required.
• Prepare clear reports and maintain activity logs for patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
