Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Customer Service in Jersey City, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As a Patrol Officer at a residential location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support residents, guests, and staff with exceptional customer service and communication. You will document observations and use technology to support daily operations while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-oriented, and integrity-driven values.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to residential community incidents, service requests, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, policy violations, and security-related incidents according to site procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
