Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Mall Center Foot Patrol in Newport Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Officer at a premier retail center, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service. You will communicate professionally with visitors, tenants, and team members while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, parking facilities, loading zones, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Monitor access points, support traffic and parking flow, and assist with directions, escorts, and other visitor service needs.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and location procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• This is primarily a driving post.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience using handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or batons is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
