Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Office Building Access Control in Newport Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Allied Universal is hiring an Unarmed Patrol Officer to support a commercial real estate location. In this highly visible role, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points and alarm activity, help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial office property.
• Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, access-related issues, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office buildings, common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe site activity, reporting suspicious conditions, maintenance concerns, policy violations, and security-related incidents according to site procedures.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports, and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
