As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a college location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors with exceptional customer service and communication. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.36 / Hour

• Access Control/Badge Experience (B201)Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management. This includes familiarity with issuing, tracking, and managing access badges for personnel.

• Alarm Panel Experience (B202)Experience with alarm panel systems is essential. Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of alarm system operations, troubleshooting, and response protocols.

• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204)Proficiency in using computers or tablets is required. Candidates should be comfortable navigating software applications and performing tasks related to their job functions.

• CPR CertificationCandidates must possess a valid CPR certification. Free training is provided by Allied Universal to ensure all employees are equipped with life-saving skills.

• Customer Service Experience (B219)A background in customer service is highly desirable. Candidates should exhibit strong communication skills and a commitment to providing excellent service to clients and colleagues.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, campus policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with campus contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of academic buildings, parking areas, walkways, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting suspicious conditions, hazards, policy violations, and security-related concerns according to site procedures.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
