Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Inspection in Suffolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication to patients, visitors, and staff. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout assigned buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; communicate with appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, and report unusual conditions, policy violations, and maintenance concerns.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation while maintaining a professional presence and supporting a positive experience for patients and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
