Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Foot Patrol in VIRGINIA BEACH, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a healthcare location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication to patients, visitors, and staff. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor records, and report unusual activity according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical events, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare and laboratory-related areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
